Former BUCKCHERRY Members Reunite In BLACK ROBOT

May 12, 2008

Former BUCKCHERRY members Jonathon Brightman (J.B.) (bass),Yogi Lonich (guitar; also of CHRIS CORNELL) and Devon Glenn (drums) have formed a new band called BLACK ROBOT. They went into the studio last month to record the new album which is expected to be released this summer. Also included in the lineup are Huck Johns and Dave Cobb. Their musical influences are said to be AC/DC, THE BLACK CROWES and LED ZEPPELIN. The new album was produced by Dave Cobb, with J.B. executive-producing.

BUCKCHERRY entered the studio on Thursday (May 8) to begin recording its fourth album and the follow-up to its million-selling 2006 comeback effort, "15".

The band has yet to announce a title or release date for the new album.

BUCKCHERRY released "15" just over two years ago, beginning a comeback that saw the band play 300 shows, sell over one million copies of the record, and earn five hit singles after being all but defunct five years ago.
